Telemona is a Meanjin-based indie-rock new wave music project. The sound of Telemona resides in heart felt lyrics layered over psychedelic tracks. As a poet, writing lyrics for this project has felt like a seamless avenue for me to put my poetry into a more accessible format.

About the songs
3AM is a psychedelic, pop-rock song. Inspired by having a fight with your lover in the early hours of the morning, the song takes a seemingly sad situation and juxtaposes it with upbeat glimmering sounds of guitars and a groovy bass.
How Long tells a story of forbidden love and how in these circumstances, desire can grow beyond control. The song is dreamy and energetic with lots of catchy riffs and melodies to embody the experience of being transfixed on someones existence.
Dollar Street is psychedelic beach rock track about the rich and the gaudy. When I worked in an upscale neighbourhood, I would notice a certain type of person; their suits, their constant work, the restaurants they’d go to, the way they treated people, their arrogance. The type of people who would use money to blow their nose….or blow up it.
